Desert assault vest

Assault vest as issued to British forces in Iraq/Afghan prior to the introduction of the MTP osprey vests.

British army surplus. Covered with heavy duty cordura sewn onto this are eight pouches with quick release spanish clasps, two on the chest and six on the abdomen. There are two straps on each shoulder to reduce the height . Behind the lower pouches on each side are large internal pockets accessed by vertical zips on the front of the vest, the left pocket has one medium and two small pouches located inside .  The vest is secured with three horizontal adjustable straps with quick release buckles. There are a further two horizontal straps with buckles for adjustment located on the back. manufactured from heavy duty cordura.
